Process addictions are defined as behaviors and preoccupations with activities which bring a sense of reward, a person can be addictive. When a person engages in these behaviors and entertains these thoughts in a compulsive manner they can be considered as an addiction. These addictions include any daily activity that has become overpowering and destructive in an individual’s life.
Some common process addictions include:
Work
Overeating
Exercise
Gambling and Bingo
Shopping
Computers –video games, chat rooms, social media and selfies
Pornography
Religion
