It's more than just making a diagnosis
Clients are treated with care, compassion and with the belief that a diagnosis is not an end result that predicts one’s life course but rather a place from which to begin to view life events and their interactions. Medications have their place in treatment but they should never replace all other treatments including therapy. When a client comes to therapy, our counselors are trained to evaluate the interactions between medications and the events happening in the lives of our clients. We are also prepared to evaluate a client who has never been assessed for a pharmacological treatment. We have numerous contacts from which we are happy to make referrals for medication support. Working as part of the client’s therapeutic team, we can help to provide your physician with a non-biased account of the benefits and interactions of the medications they prescribe.
